Gardens can also be defined in a style as formal or informal. For example, a simple rose garden may seem totally different when planted in a garden style country house when planted in a more formal geometric style.
When it comes to deciding on a style for your garden, first look at their location. Then, think about the style you have in your home. Is it more informal or formal enough? This will give you a starting point for designing your garden.
Now decide how to use the space. Will there be family barbecue or going to do more formal entertaining? Do you have children or pets that need a garden or enclosed area to play?
Then take a look at the trees and buildings. You need adequate shade (or sun) of certain flowers and plants.
Once you have taken these issues into account, you can start your real garden plan. Develop a plan for your garden. Even a sketch of your garden space will be and where each element (such as flowers, leaves, stone, or pond) can be a great help in planting your beautiful new garden.
