300 Sq Foot Cabin decor ideas.?
I am a single mother in a very small town who rents a tiny 300 square foot cabin from my grandparents. My daughter and I plan to live here for the next 4 years so we can save up for our own home. However, because of the size of this tiny house, there is not much room for anything. Please help with decor ideas, and possibly storage ideas as well! We are on a very tight budget. Thank you!
That really is small! I would decorate with light coloured walls and curtains, light coloured furniture where practical and small but bright coloured things for interest. Obviously, there are some things like beds that have to be a certain size, but wherever possible, use things that are on the small side or things that have dual purposes. A love seat instead of a full size sofa, for instance. If there's any way to have storage under the beds or inside furniture, do that. Plastic totes can be your friend here. I would have shelf units that go right to the ceiling and could hold all kinds of things. Mirrors on the walls can make a space look bigger. Get things off the floor as much as possible. Lamps that fasten to the wall or can clip onto a bookcase will save floor space, and empty floor space makes a room look bigger. If there's a porch or you can make any sheltered area outdoors, have a shelf unit out there and put things out there that aren't vulnerable to weather or animals. I keep plastic totes with light bulbs and extra toilet paper, for instance( I like to buy bulk but have a small house) on my back porch. Best of luck, hope those 4 years fly by.

Several Tips to Enhance Home Decor with Switch Plates
Switch plate can be a great idea to enhance the decoration in your home. Switch plat is known as flat cover which is mountable around a light switch for keeping the walls free from grime and dirt. Typically, it is made of plastic, wood, or metal. It has one screw on the bottom of the light switch and one on the top.
Switch covers can add decorative touches. They can be one of the features which can be considered for your home decor. Although they are simple, when they are themed accordingly to the theme of the room, they can add style and eye appeal. For example, you can use cartoon character switch cover for the room of your kids. In addition, they are available in some different colors and styles which allow you to easily determine one for your home decor. The following are some ideas on how to enhance your home decor using switch plate.
The first thing you should do is to consider your home décor. Once you have determined what style of room you want, you can also determine the right switch plate to use. If you prefer tropical theme for your room, you can consider using brushed brass switch cover. If you want traditional room style, you can consider using bamboo switch plate. You have to make sure that you have chosen the switch plate accordingly to your theme décor.
The second thing you have to do is to choose the right color and style of your switch plate. For your formal living room, you can consider Victorian style or antique brass. Instead, you can use terra cotta for your Southwestern houses or a log-cabin theme for your Northwestern homes.
If you want to make a dining room with more formal space, you can consider antique brass switch and brushed nickel switch covers. In addition, you can also use switch plate with food-theme such as bistro, wine, or cutlery for more fun and casual dining room. For your kitchen, you can match the switch covers with the appliances you use. For example, if you have black stove, you can install black switch cover.
The third thing you have to do is to install the switch plate. The installation is quite simple. You can simply use a screwdriver. If you have old plate, you have to remove it first before you install the new one.
