Does it snow in North Carolina?
I am wanting to take a trip to NC! To be exact Bryson City right next to the Great Smoky Mountains!! Plan on staying in a cabin in the mountains. Its gonna take about 9 hours to drive from Fl. Well, I am wondering if it snows there. Plan on going Dec or Jan depending on if it snows.! Never seen snow and its just something we really want to see it. If not does anyone know any states from Fl that takes about 9-10 hrs to drive that HAS SNOW LOL.

It snows in Raleigh, though not every year, and not necessarily very much. Raleigh is pretty much on the dividing line between the Piedmont, which gets some snow, and the coastal plain, which gets less. Raleigh's winter is relatively short and mild for a temperate zone city. It's hard to think you're going to plan a visit to Raleigh and count on snow. That's not very likely.
As you go west in North Carolina, toward the mountains, snowfall becomes more common. If you want to see snow you might consider the areas north and perhaps west of Asheville.
