How do I remove mold from a house?
We are entering a house that was built in the 1920's, remodeled in the 1970 and made that resemble a Colorado Cabin is not a log cabin, however. There are a lot of vegetation, trees, vines, flowers, and coverage soil with a drip system near the base of the wood in the house. The walls of the tub / shower combination are covered with wood that has been treated with a marine sealant, and has black mold. The house was leaking water for 2 weeks in February before it was discovered. It is only now that the de-wet. It is not obvious black mold in a closet, wooden floor, behind the washer and dryer, yellow mold in a bathroom cabinet. This house has not lived for two years, and we rented from our friends. They have been very cooperative and helpful, and we will get an assessment, repair recommendations within monetary reason. My question is: What will be used to eradicate mold as much as possible and we can do to address any recurring mold?
Spray with bleach. Bleach kills mold. Then get a bucket of hot water and bleach and a scrub brush and scrub really good. Care should be taken of the problem
