Western Home Décor Adds a Little Bit of Country
Western styles and designs give out a rustic theme to your western home decor. Rustic themes for your western home are rather historical, rugged, natural, handmade or inspired collections of the great outdoors. If your home has a western décor, the rustic gives it more of a hint of old west influence, and more often referred to the cowboy's lifestyle of the 1800's, or the United States of America's western part. The wood that is more often being used for the Western's home décor's are Aspen, Oak, Pine and Maple, and these are only the few types of them, but they are the well known as well. On the other hand, there are also a lot of sub-species kinds of trees that are being used for the western home décor furniture, such as, Cedar, Red Maple, Bigtooth Aspen, Spruce, White Pine, and also Quaking Aspen. There is also one wood called Adirondack wood that is used for the furniture. This kind of wood is found at the northern New York state, at areas that has a lot of rivers, lakes, and hardwood forests.
Another wood that is being used for the western home décor's furniture is the Burl wood, which a rare and highly sought after wood, this wood is good for making furniture.
To have a home that has a feel of the west, you need to decorate your home the western way. Western home décor has a specific theme, and these are wildlife, as well as unusual chandeliers and lamps. The western home décor is full of anything that has animal themes in it, such as, deer, buffalos, wolves, bald eagles, moose, elks, grizzly bears, mountain lions and game fish. These animals' leather, rawhide or hide are always used in the upholstery. The elk and deer antlers, of which these are shed by the animals on a yearly basis, is being gathered all together to create those extraordinary chandeliers and lamps.
A western home décor is stimulated by the jagged and outdoor lifestyle of the ranchers and cowboys. A reclaimed and weathered barn wood is one of the most popular materials being used by the rustic artists to create a western home décor of instances as candle holders and picture frames. Artists also use an old wagon's wheel to make an extraordinary overhead light fixture. There are also some antique tractor seats that are made into amazing bar stools. The old barbed wire can be made into baskets. Spurs and horseshoes are frequently used to decorate or make a western home décor feel.
