Little Tikes Log Cabin
Is there anything safe that I can spray on my kid's swingset to keep the spiders off??
My kids have a Little Tikes log cabin and slide plus a swingset. The spiders seem to flock to their playground equipment. Is there anything safe that I can use to spray on or around the play equipment to keep the spiders away?? Thank you all in advance!
This is a tough one.
Spiders are not bad...most are harmless. If you see Black Widows or Brown Recluses and you know it, the situation is different.
I would not spray your children's swing set. In all liklihood there would be no problem at all, it's just not a good practice to spray something that kids will be playing on.
Try this...Spray the swing with soapy water and rinse with a high pressure hose. Do this every week. At least the spiders will be clean, and they will probably get tired of the regular wash and rinse cycle and move elsewhere.
If you are forced to use an insecticide, don't let your kids or any kids on the swings for at least 2-3 days. I don't recommend it though.
