I want to visit Dollywood in Tennessee US of A.?
I want to stay in Gatlingburg not Pigeon Ford and am a bit wary of hiring a car as I havent been driving long. What side of the road do American's drive on? Are there buses or trams or whatever, from Gatlinburg to Dollywood in Pigeon Ford? I want to stay in a Log Cabin thing near the Smokey Mountain National Park, is there public transport to that?
How long do you have to have held a licence to hire a car in America?
Do I have to have my fingerprints taken when I arrive in the land of freedom?
(Im English btw and have been driving for about 9 months)
thanks
A very wise decision to stay in Gatlinburg as a tourist if you ask me. It's so much nicer being so close to the mountains. They're both very much tourist towns, but I just prefer Gatlinburg. You can walk around Gatlinburg easily, as well.
Here's a link to the trolley line:

As for holding a license, there's no length of time you have to have had one. Most car rental agencies will require that you be at least 21-years of age to rent, or rarely, 25.
And yes, we Americans drive on the right hand side of the road, so you'll have to get used to that if you rent a car. You wiley Brits always driving on the wrong side.
