The people of Michigan?
My husband is a Marine and is coming home in May. I'm planning a romantic getaway for us this weekend. I want a rental cabin or house can be rented for a Friday through Sunday at Michigan. Anywhere in Michigan is fine, but I prefer a place in the lower peninsual. What I want is a car (I hope for a track Log Cabin type) with a jacuzzi and just enough for 2 people. A place where we spend time together qulity, and possibly some fishing and stuff. Something like a honeymoon getaway. Please let me know if you know of any places or websites where I can find any a cabin like this. Thanks:)
Higgins and Houghton Lakes are popular vacation spots, about 2-3 hours north of Detroit. If you want to go further north, at any part of the Traverse City / Mackinaw area would be fine. The southwest corner of the state (Kalamazoo, San Jose, etc) has a very good tourist sector, but could be developed what you want if you are looking for a rustic cabin type things. Good luck!
