Would this be stupid in your opinion?
My husband and I are trying to remodel our home by getting new siding on our house. I want our house to have log siding because I have always loved that look. A rustic look. The problem my husband is having is he says that it would look stupid because we live in central texas and it's hot a majority of the time. He says a Log Cabin would look stupid here and should only be used like up in the mountains or where it's very cold most of the time. What do you think? I know most people would say " Just do what you want " Yeah I know but I'm curious to know if anyone else has the same opinion as he, or what you think.....

Not stupid to have log siding in TX or in town. Primarily log had been used where there is access to lots of logs and be more economical, not because it is cold or hot. In city of Sioux Falls, SD has many houses IN TOWN with log siding and some ARE log houses which look very nice. This is listed as the plains and in the city.
Vinyl & metal siding has less maintenance.
Just landscape or yard decor according to whatever you had chosen for accent.
