Log Cabin Vacation
Can you please advise where would be a nice, affordable place to vacation for a week in Tennesse in December?
My two daughters are little and are really wanting to see some snow this christmas.
Tennessee will be the closest to us from Florida.
So we would really like to go to a nice log cabin and spend the week there in nature, maybe in the smokey mountains.
Could you help me in locating a nice, clean affordable place to stay (log cabin)?

Snow in Tennessee for Christmas is really unusual. Your best hope would be in East TN. I use www.townsendviewrentals.com when I go to the Smokies. They have cabins of all sizes (I use Puterbaugh and love it) in the Townsend area which is 30 minutes south of Gatlinburg. Much quieter and friendlier there, and right at the entry to Cades Cove. Christmas week will be higher in price (just as it is in Florida), but still reasonable.

Log Cabin Vacation
Where are some good vacation spots for a couple?
We really want to see mountains and rivers and log cabin atmosphere. We've been to the beach like 3 times together already so we want to go somewhere new and kinda close to home. We live in Louisiana, so really anywhere in the US would be cool...thanks!
Perhaps Big Cedar Lodge?
Close to Branson, MO. Nice lake close-rivers and streams. In theOzarks. Very scenic country. And can rent nice cabins too.
