Log Cabin Vacations
Where is a good vacation for my family?
We would like to either climb mountains, white water raft, or see caves.
There are 5 or 6 of us for either spring or summer. Winter could be done though.
We would want to stay in a log cabin not surrounded by others for about a week.
Or instead of the above maybe go on a houseboat. If there are any good websites for any of the above please tell me about them and places- in the United States please.

There's a lot of those kinds of activities in Arizona. However the log cabin thing maybe a toughie. Try Northern Arizona or Colorado.

Best winter vacation? Look for a lodge or cabin.?
Need ideas on winter lodges or cabins in USA. Prefer east coast. Looking for a log cabin or lodge with wood burning fireplace and kitchen to cook breakfast. Romantic. Maybe some shops nearby. Any ideas?
Does it need to be near a ski area?
