Pines, Cypress and Cedar logs are timber logs that can indeed make very strong Log Cabins. The use of these cabins may date back to biblical times when the people of God badly needed shelter to live in. As years pass by, it has been continually used by many of our ancestors as a place to stay for a night, months or even years while in search of a location where they can settle permanently. Indeed, log cabins offered convenience to our ancestors during those days. All they have to do is to cut and gather logs, stack them into a pile in order to build a wall that will protect them from the cold of the night or from the heat of the sun during daytime. The good thing about these kinds of cabins is that they don't need to have nails and one needs no hammer or the necessity to exert effort in hammering these nails in order to attach these logs.
Nowadays, these kinds of cabins are not just made for necessity but they have also become good business matters for great business ventures. These are reliable structures that complete the picture of what a ranch or a farm should look like. That is because as what most of the people believe, a farm is not a farm when cabins that are made out of logs are absent. This is the main reason why most farm owners or ranchers find it a must to build this kind of cabin. Since most of the owners of these cabins find it interesting to put some decorations like colorful and unique curtains, nicely embroidered pillows, frames, finely sculptured chairs and tables, some flowers and agricultural plants, log cabins have become an artistic expression. Nowadays, these cabins have been created with multiple purposes, not just as a place to stay for a night. It has also become a place to meditate, to seek solace for a tired soul and a place for fast recovery from illness not to mention a place where you can use some of your artistic skills.
Indeed log cabins have already evolved from a temporary shelter into a pre-requisite structure or a must-have structure for every farmer and rancher. Some owners use it as a resting place where they can have some family bonding especially during vacations. It also offers a great opportunity for parents to orient their kids to the beauty of nature and to remind them that the simple things that we miss recognizing in our daily lives are the things which happen to be very important and necessary. Apart from the busy streets and high rise buildings in the city, children may be able to take a break from the temporary satisfaction they get out from artificially made things like television, computers and the like. What better way to remind our children that there is life outside the comfort of their high technology rooms than letting them stay in log cabins during their vacations. This way they will surely enjoy their childhood, a good way for these kids to learn how to value the simple yet essential things that offer great purpose to each human being.
