how much is this worth????
I bought this wood stove to use in my fireplace and dosen't fit. want to sell it any idea what it would go for used??? not sure what to sell it for. I looked it up on the internet and found this :MODEL FS260E

it works great, not broken just dosen't fit my fireplace. it's ion perfect condition

I am very sorry to report that I doubt if you could get more than $25 for it..Because it is not worth more? No.. It is just the fact that no one is going to bother to fix it to fit their needs... People nowadays just do not bother and thus, will not pay what you think it is worth...

To buy land in alaska or oregon?
My boyfriend and I want to move way up north, buy a parcel of land, and build a log home ourselves (maybe a friend or two). No electricity, running water or ceptic; we're looking to dig a pump type well though. Where should we move to live our pioneer dream? I have a log cabin building book that briefly goes over some of the land buying aspects, and what I read is that you might not be able to build a simple log home as a residence because there's codes and such that need to be followed for each state, and that your home could be bulldozed or forced to be managed following the codes (needs washer and dryer hook ups, specific housing construction, etc.). But then I've seen web sites of a couple building a cabin on their land in alaska. I have no clue about the realty world but I need to start, all the info on building a log home and living off your own land in either oregon or alaska. thanks in advanced for all the help:)
In Oregon, you can not legally build on forest zoned land unless the structure is necessary for the cultivation of the trees. If the land is zoned as open space reserve, or falls within an endangered species habitat zone, such as the spotted owl all you can do is pay taxes on it, you can't cut a tree or build a drive way, or erect any type of structure.
Most of the land zoned for building homes is small lots, or inside cities and the homes must meet the building codes.
Oregon has the second highest taxes in the U.S. and the second highest unemployment in the U.S. Oregon does have the largest number of homeless people in the U.S.
