Help! Ball Python Shedding Problems?
My 18 inch ball python is shedding and it is coming off in pieces.
I know that it should come off in one piece.
I have her in a 20 gal tank with 52 percent humidity.
Her cold side is like 75-80.
Her hot side is 80-85
Her basking spot is 90-98
I have a log on the cold side for her to hide in and fake leaves on the hot side for her to hide in.
I have a water bowl she could fit in and a log standing up so she could climb.
Please help!
what are u using to measure the temps with ??
i would suggest gettin an acu-rite... from wal-mart.. they are around 12 buck... and they have the warm,cool and humidity all in one...
when they are goin into shed... u should bump their humidity up to 60-70..
and u should also get 2 identical hides for her... the half logs arent that great only cause its very open....and they like dark tight spots...
for now what u can do is get a rubbermaid bin with lid...fill it with luke warm water... and close it and put it back into the enclosure for about 30 mins... it will soften the skin and it should come off with ease
