Does anyone know a good place to rent cabins in North Georgia?
I live in North Atlanta and would like a great place to get away in the Mountains. I realize I have the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in very close proximity, but I don't know any specific places to visit. I'm looking for a relaxing place with plenty of hiking trails, rivers, and possibly a lake near by. Also, hopefully it's a little off the beaten path and reasonably priced.

In the area around Helen, Georgia (up in White County, near Dahlonaga). Helen is a rustic Alpine village in the hills. Lots of European, Austrian things in the village.
6 miles away is a place called Evergreen cabins. they are the best, just constructed 9 new cabins and are reasonable. I think exactly what you're looking for. Less than an hour from Atlanta,. Here's the website, although there are MANY places that have cabin rentals. These are good though.
