How deep fence post?
I bought some cedar fencing at home depot. Prefabricated sections (has pickets and everything) The picket fence sections is 4 foot high. The posts that go with them are 5 foot tall. How deep should i put posts.? Will use concrete as well. Confused or missing somenthing cant figure out how to use the 4 foot sections when you have only a 5 foot post to work with. Too much in ground would make picket fence higher than posts? put1/3 in ground? I heard as general rule?
The posts needs at least 2 feet, but if you are using concrete 18 inches is fine, the posts you have purchased are kind of short to hold the fence.
