The best way to get the look of anguish?
I have an old bank that was in my parents' garage. It is currently unfinished, and I was hope that the spots and do a big piece of my entry way. I have very eclectic style and AMO peices with the distressed look simple / rustic. What is the best way to get this bank seeking a senior / difficulties with a wood stain? Is there even a way? Thanks!
What difficulties do you want whatever? Marks adds "age" as surprising as that with the tools, tubes, bicycle chains, that sort of thing that if I want it raw. You may have to sand the edges where they are normally wear (wear a little) before or even after finishing with a layer of stain and the top. Because the wood is unfinished but has been in the garage, sanding lightly to open the pores of the wood to accept stain. Be sure to remove all dust with a tack cloth and apply a little thinner with a cloth to clean thoroughly. Here are a couple of links, one is a video.
