How do you preserve / mount a newspaper clipping, without just a boring frame?
I have a vision, that I don’t know how to do nor explain! I want to preserve an article of my brother from a newspaper. I was thinking about putting it on a nice piece of raw wood and putting some sort or lacquer or hardener over the top, to both adhere it to the wood and also help to preserve.
Ideally, I want my brother to be able to hang the article on his wall, but want it to look rustic versus just framed. Any help!?
I suggest you get the article laminated first. Then when you have the piece of wood you want to put it on, trim the lamination carefully to the edge of the newspaper so it won't show, the coat everything with a clear varnish. I've seen picture done this way looks pretty good.
