How much would it cost to build a house; just the house on a specific property?
Can anyone give me an estimate from expirience or from fact or whatever on how much a house would cost to build alone; reguarding land & paper fees, etc. Just on what the contractors whould charge me for building materials and their services of their profit. The house would be two stories, two bedrooms, one full bath, kitchen, living room, dinning room; at about 1,546 square feet on first floor & 1,632 on second floor; cabin style home; partial stone & timber type; not much 2x4's. Not a big house; big enough for two or three people to live out in the country side. I mean I would expect the construction would be cheaper due to the inexpensive natural building materials; so; if anyone can help in giving me a rough idea from something like this that someone has seen or had expirience with; I would much appreciate. Thanks.
Well it all depend on where you plan to build, my best friend just did this , and for the land and everything in it to the refrigerator , to stove to ceiling fans , carpet wall paint and so on. it is all in the contract. She did a 2 story in A small town in Texas , at 3,500 Ft. for 300.000 and her home looks like a very rich person lives there. In CA that home would go for 1.5 million. so Like I said it depends where you live and if you own the land , or what you put in the Contract.
